He created an infamous name for himself that has become one of the most sought after brands on the runways and in the eye's of those who can afford that genius that is Yves Saint Laurent. Laurent began working for Christian Dior as a designer at the young age of 21. In 1962, he opened his own fashion house and had been on the same level as Chanel, Balenciaga, and the like for 5 decades. YSL defined the way a woman dressed over the decades. He put her in pantsuits with perfect hemlines and silhouettes. After his retirment in 2002, Yves Saint Laurent's legend has lived on in the brand which he created and which will never die.
