Bill Sullivan

I haven been wanting to post this site for a while now.

New York based photographer, Bill Sullivan does a little something that I just love seeing. Catching folks off guard, "situational photography" if you will. His impromptu portraits of the everday people are awsome. People in elevators, subway turnstyles, and sitting out on the street are what his website is jam packed of. My favorite section is Time Port (Times Square Portraits). Take a peep around here. I am sure you will enjoy.

a wonderful day...

This week Jessi and I had a wonderful wonderful day. A day in the Botanical Gardens will lift anyones spirits and leave you feeling refreshed and grateful for a blue sky. After days and days of trying to put the photos up here on the site...they wont work. I was continually frustrated for days straight. Alas I resorted to facebook. So be sure to check them out there....on my page. On..yes.....facebook.

Scott Hammond does wonderful things with a polaroid camera. Documenting trips from all over the continent he photographs buildings, signs, skies, people, and pretty much everything else. A simple camera doing wonderful things and inspiring others to do the same. 2004 was a good year, those housed a lot of my favorites.

I Throw Myself at Men

Flipping through the pages of Elle whilest experiencing insomnia last night, I came across a little blurb about Lilly McElroy, a 28-year-old performance artist and photographer who does random things in public and is shot in a way that captures the public's reactions to her behavior. There are two series which I really like. One is where Lilly falls asleep in the least expected places, and the other is called "I Throw Myself at Men" in which Lilly literally lunges on unexpected men and their reaction is captured. lois greenfield

one of the most amazing dance photographers...ever.

Lois Greenfield, known for shooting dancers in motion, is having an exhibit at Dance New Amsterdam from April 30th to August 31st. The opening is Wednesday night, April 30th from 6 to 8 PM. Thats right she will be there. The exhibit, Celestial Bodies, features 16 dancers that worked with Ms. Greenfield in suspension, fabrics, and clear dance technique. Her photography is beautiful, and I have been a fan for some time. It will be glorious to walk by these photos on the way to and from class.

Dance New Amsterdam is on Chambers and Broadway, right in front of City Hall, next to Modell's. Now there is no excuse.
